DropBox

Adding integrated dropbox functionality would be an enormous addition to your product.

The issues relating to synchronising via itunes, requiring a cable etc etc or using the sync app are a lttle bloated and not immediately obvious to all. I used them for a while but feel dropbox could solve a lot of these problems for you.

At the moment i use dropbox to put comics in and when downloaded via the dropbox app you can 'open in comic zeal'. This works very well but requires opening two applications and importing the comics each and every time.

Wn integrated version of this would be a welcomed addition. you could potentially have a dropbox or 'cloud' button which would directly connect you to a dropbox account and import directly from there. the service is free anyway so wouldn't cost a penny and has been very well implemented in other 3rd party apps like documents2go where you can view/edit documents direct from your dropbox account.

Please look into this if possible, it works fantastically.

This literally would be the icing on the comiczeal cake.

Aside from that, keep up the good, work, it's my fav comic app on iphone and ipad - where i have purchased both and recommended to friends numerous times.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks David! I'd definitely like to do closer DB integration.

I second this suggestion. The DropBox feature works well but if I have 10 comics to transfer, it takes a lot of time doing each one - one at a time. I'd love to see tighter DB integration or even support for GoogleDocs and the ability to transfer several cbr's over at once to ComicZeal.

Gratz on a fine app so far and really loving it.

I just wanted to second this notion of being able to grab multiple comics from a Dropbox folder. That would be a dream feature.

Importing comics is the biggest challenge in CZ4. I'm glad to see it's a focus for CZ5.

The DropBox feature sounds great, but I have probably 8GB of books in ComicZeal4, I can only imagine how long that would take to upload!

Any thought to doing a box.net integration?

Would love Dropbox support too. I liked this feature in Bookman so I was surprised that Comic Zeal doesn't have it. Would be great to transfer comic books from Dropbox right to CZ.

You can import from DB into CZ.

I know you can do that for individual comics. I just wish there was a way to grab multiple comics (say, in a folder) without doing them individually.

I know ray, I was just replying t Andrew above. Sometimes things get asked over again in a slightly different way and I don't know if the most recent poster has read the thread form the top.

    No prob. My bad. :)
BTW, I've had a ton of fun with the new version of CZ. CZ's still one of the best bits of software on the iPad.

Fantastic! Lots of exciting things coming for it this year (I hope! I'm still merging TB and CZ code right now)

Thank you but I know about open-in. But if I want to download dozens of comics it will be a little hard. What I meant is Dropbox support inside CZ. To connect Dropbox account and download or sync right into CZ. Thank you.

    Seconded (thirded? nth-ed!)!

Goodreader has this feature to sync from Dropbox to a local folder, and it is killer. It made it trivial for me to synchronize a few gigs of PDFs, and I am dying to do the same with comics.
